Description: The purpose is to show all members the code of conduct for maintaining their health and carrying through their educational and research activities safely and smoothly. One must attend this lecture once he/she becomes a member of the University of Tokyo.

Environment, Health and Safety Lecture

Target: Those who will emit/handle experimental waste such as wastewater from experiments (Almost every member will attend)

UT-CRIS Lecture

Target: All of those who will use chemicals
Description: About managing the inventory and usage of chemicals in each laboratory in a unified manner, using the University of Toyo Chemical Registration Information System.

High-Pressure Gas Cylinder lecture

Target: All of those who will use gas cylinders for CO2 gas, nitrogen gas, oxygen gas, etc.
Description: About the handling precautions for high-pressure gas, purchasing from the High-Pressure Gas Cylinder Management System (http://www.issp.u-tokyo.ac.jp/cryogenic/cylinder/main.asp?lang=eg), management by UTCRIS, etc.

Use of Cryogen Lecture for Kashiwa Region

Target: All of those who will use cryogen (liquid nitrogen). Note that those who attended the Use of Cryogen Lecture are recognized as having completed the High-pressure Gas Cylinder Lecture as well. (Voluntary: Only attend if necessary)
Date: April 25/26, 2012 (Wed/Thu), application is accepted until April 23 (Mon), 2 days before the training. Also, the 3rd session is scheduled for June 21.

Target: All of those who will conduct experiments with animals (From fish to mammals. Not required for experiments with plants and non-vertebrates such insects, nematodes, etc).
