*1. You will be notified of the time and location of your oral exam at the end of the foreign language (English) exam (TOEFL-ITP) on Tuesday, August 1.
*2. The formal announcement of acceptance takes place after the completion of the entrance exams of all GSFS departments. The Department of Integrated Biosciences makes its own announcement of “prospective candidates” as a provisional decision. This year, the department plans to announce the prospective candidates by posting their ID numbers on the bulletin board at the entrance of the Transdisciplinary Sciences Building at around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4. The interviews of prospective candidates will take place on the same day.

Notes on the entrance examination venue

From West Exit of JR Line Kashiwa Station: Take Tobu Bus “Nishikashiwa 01 for National Cancer Center (via Kashiwanoha Park)” to Todaimae stop (30- to 40-min. ride, with 3-min. walk).
Please note that "Nishikashiwa 02 for Kashiwanoha Campus Station West Exit" and "Kashiwa 44 for National Cancer Center (via Customs Training Institute" do not pass Todai-mae).

From West Exit of Tsukuba Express Line Kashiwanoha Campus Station: Take a 30-min. walk to campus, or take Tobu Bus for “Nagareyama Otakanomori Station’s East Exit” or for “Edogawadai Station’s East Exit” to Todaimae stop (13-min. ride, with 3-min. walk). 

From East Exit of Tobu Noda Line Edogawadai Station: Take a 20-min. walk to campus, or take Tobu Bus for "Kashiwanoha Campus Station West Exit" to Todai-mae stop (10 min. ride, with 3min. walk) ; please note that few buses run on this route), or take a taxi (5 min. ride).

(Buses)

During the entrance examination period, you may have lunch at the examination venue or the interview waiting room.
Convenience store is nearby, but since the number of lunch boxes are limited, it would be safer to bring your own.
You can also have lunch at the cafeteria or the "Ikoi" eatery in Kashiwa Campus (Note that capacity is limited).
