Notes
1. The English exam is waived for applicants who have completed or will complete a Master Course at the University of Tokyo.
2. Instead of taking this test, applicants can submit their TOEFL Test Taker Score Report (Examinee Score Reports). For details, please see here.
3. Oral exams for those applying for admission in September 2017 or for Special Selection for Applicants with Professions are scheduled for Aug. 2 (Wed) or Aug. 4 (Fri), 2017.
4. Applicants must submit in advance an abstract of their Master’s thesis or its equivalent (2 pages, A4 paper). If you wish, you may also submit the full Master’s thesis (or equivalent) along with the abstract. The deadline for submission will be announced later.
5. Contact the faculty member in charge of your desired laboratory in advance to find out the time, location, and format of the oral exam.
6. Submit your TOEFL Test Taker Score Report (Examinee Score Report) as the English exam. For details, please see here.

Notes on the entrance examination venue

From West Exit of JR Line Kashiwa Station: Take Tobu Bus “Nishikashiwa 01 for National Cancer Center (via Kashiwanoha Park)” to Todaimae stop (30- to 40-min. ride, with 3-min. walk).
Please note that "Nishikashiwa 02 for Kashiwanoha Campus Station West Exit" and "Kashiwa 44 for National Cancer Center (via Customs Training Institute" do not pass Todai-mae).

From West Exit of Tsukuba Express Line Kashiwanoha Campus Station: Take a 30-min. walk to campus, or take Tobu Bus for “Nagareyama Otakanomori Station’s East Exit” or for “Edogawadai Station’s East Exit” to Todaimae stop (13-min. ride, with 3-min. walk). 

From East Exit of Tobu Noda Line Edogawadai Station: Take a 20-min. walk to campus, or take Tobu Bus for "Kashiwanoha Campus Station West Exit" to Todai-mae stop (10 min. ride, with 3min. walk) ; please note that few buses run on this route), or take a taxi (5 min. ride).

(Buses)

During the entrance examination period, you may have lunch at the examination venue or the interview waiting room.
Convenience store is nearby, but since the number of lunch boxes are limited, it would be safer to bring your own.
You can also have lunch at the cafeteria or the "Ikoi" eatery in Kashiwa Campus (Note that capacity is limited).
